Appointment of members of the 2018 Citizen Participatory Innovation Committee

KEPCO E&C appointed the members of the 2018 Citizen Participatory Innovation Committee on July 12.

KEPCO E&C introduced the Citizen Participatory Innovation Committee as part of the innovation program through active communication by reflecting the internal and external opinions on the company's innovation plan and implementation and objectively diagnosing and improving the problems of the organizations.

The 2018 Citizen Participatory Innovation Committee consists of four internal members and six external members. Internal Committee members were selected by the heads of divisions (or departments) recommended by the R&D center and business divisions (or department), whereas external members were selected through recommendation by the community such as civic groups, businesses, and academe and public recruitment.

External committee members included the following: Director Park Seon-ha of the Gimcheon Welfare Center for the Disabled, who was also appointed Committee Chairman; Kim Yong-jun, Dean of the Convergence Energy Engineering Department at Gimcheon University; Seong Geum-hwa, CEO of Korea Tech; Ahn Gyu-cheol, CEO of Taeyang Engineering; Park Seong-gyu, Gimcheon City Personnel Adviser; and Baek Nam-yeong, Visiting Professor of the Fire Safety Engineering Department at Gimcheon University.

The 2018 Citizen Participatory Innovation Committee plans to participate actively in the company’s internal and external innovation activities by establishing and executing the innovation implementation plan, selecting innovation programs, monitoring innovation activities, and holding innovation competitions and idea contest for one year after the appointment of its members (July 12, 2018).
