President & CEO Koo-Woun Park of KEPCO E&C gave a special lecture on ‘A Look ahead to power Industry and the Right People for KEPCO E&C’ at R&D center in Chung-Ang University(CAU) on Wed 12 Nov.

President Park was invited to deliver a lecture at ‘Seminar for an understanding of energy issues and energy system technology’, joined by around 120 people including undergraduates and professors from CAU school of Energy System Engineering.

The seminar brought together a number of experts and prominent figures from industry, academia, and research center to share their insights so that undergraduates can have a clear understanding of their major in energy-related area with a higher motivation to learn. During the seminar, president Park gave a broad explanation about energy issues such as environment change in energy industry at home and abroad, consumption outlook, and outlook for world’s electricity generation.

In particular, he spelled out the status, outlook and limits of renewable energy hailed as alternative energy, and underscored mutual complementation between renewable and nuclear energy. In line with this, he laid out KEPCO E&C’s vision, mission, management strategy, and how to foster the talents, as well as stressing the need for nuclear power generation.

The lecture by president Park got a huge response from audience with easy-to-understand explanation about outlook for power industry and nuclear power generation. President Park will strive to enhance the public understanding of energy resources and their role in a society through a vigorous communication with all levels of society in the coming years.
