- The engineering consulting service fo "Conducting a review of the APR+ Safety Console Design and the related licensing issue" is to obtain the licensing experience and expert's knowledge about the licensing aspect for accessibility and the implementation of control between the equipment since APR 1400 consider applying the safety class Visual Display Unit(VDU)on the safety console. KEPCO-ENC has the latest knowledge and licensing experience on the MMIS, but there is no licensing experience and does not have associated knowledge about it from the operating point of vew. There is no domestic manufacturer or expert on this specific issue. - Applying VDU based controller on the safety console is an important design consideration factor for APR 1400 MMIS such as configuration of the VDU controller design and accessibility as well as the arrangement of the operator consloes, Large Display Panel and other operator supporting facilities in the MCR. In this regard, survey was performed to find a company capable of performing the engineering service and KEPCO-ENC requested propoal to Sargent and Lundy which is doing foreign conulting service work on the overall A/E scope of work for APR 1400 MMIS and Westinghouse which provided APR 1400 MMIS for SKN3$4 project and BNPP project and also holds NRC DC for AP 1000 MMIS in the USA |
