The goal of this contract is to provide KEPCO E&C the specific CFVS design information for CFVS design. The primary tasks of the contract are as follows : - Evaluation of the condensation induced water hammer prevention design - CIVs outside Containment meeting ANS 56.2 requirements - Design criteria and reference materials for discharge vent stack - Design basis and methodology for shielding design of the outdoor CFVS piping - Design basis and methodology for sizing of filter inlet/outlet piping |

The contractor must have consulting capability on following tasks : - Evaluation of the condensation induced water hammer prevention design - CIVs outside Containment meeting ANS 56.2 requirements - Design criteria and reference materials for discharge vent stack - Design basis and methodology for shielding design of the outdoor CFVS piping - Design basis and methodology for sizing of filter inlet/outlet piping Among the potential contractors capable of doing above tasks, 4 companies out of 5 were unable to meet the requirements below : - possible bidder for CFVS manufacture contract by KHNP - must meet minimum technical requirements - must agree with KEPCO E&C that it would do the task under a new contract, not under an existing one. Out of the five companies, Sargent & Lundy was considered to be the only company capable of doing the consulting. |
