KEPCO E&C held the 2nd Meeting of Record Management Council of Power Group Affiliates in 2019 at its head office building in Gimcheon on November 14 and 15.

The Record Management Council of Power Group Affiliates was formed in 2015 to build a collaboration system for record management and improve the expertise of people in charge. It currently has 12 power-related group affiliates as members.

The National Archives of Korea attended this meeting to show its interest in the record management collaboration system of power group affiliates and its outcomes.

KEPCO E&C presented the redundant storage of design records, which are crucial for the operation of nuclear power plants. The attendants shared their experiences and know-how of managing unformatted records and special records.

The Council meeting started with KEPCO E&C’s presentation of the design record management system and its operation case, followed by the presentation of results of joint attendance in 2019 ICA Adelaide, the introduction and operation of the special record management system, and case presentation of employee-participating record management.

The meeting also included the in-depth presentation and discussion of the management of user-centered records and special records such as unformatted records.

“The power group affiliates should seek the new technologies such as blockchain and the measures of managing unformatted records and cooperate with each other better to improve the expertise of record management,” Yum Hag-gi, the Director of Technology Strategy Dept., said.
