KEPCO E&C singed an MOU with Korea Western Power Co., Ltd. (KOWEPO) for personnel and material cooperation in power generation on June 12.

Attending the signing event included officials of the two companies including Um Ho-seop, Executive Vice President of KEPCO E&C, and Kim Gyeong-Jae, Head of Engineering Division of KOWEPO.

With the signing of the MOU, KEPCO E&C agreed to provide the “human resources competency strengthening program” using its expertise in plant design while KOWEPO plans to develop new technologies and implement new businesses based its know-how and specialization. Both companies agreed to cooperate for developing new business such as O&M.

The MOU stipulates cooperation in ▷ the strengthening of competency of human resources, ▷ development in new technologies and businesses, ▷ development and mutual technical support for O&M business, ▷ joint participation and technical support for R&D projects, and ▷ social contribution activities such as talent donation.

With the signing of the MOU, both companies plan to build the continuous cooperation system to be the role model for technology cooperation that combines the engineering technology and power plant construction and operation know-how and the foundation for future growth engine and sustained growth.
