Integrity and Ethics Programs for Ethics Day

KEPCO E&C held various events for Ethics Day (June 2) to establish the integrity and ethics culture.

The events included a special lecture on integrity and ethics through proactive integrity and ethical practices, the pledge by all employees for integrity and eradication of heavy-handed practices and human rights abuse, the declaration of integrity message by top management, and training for send an integrity message to management, and learning from officials of integrity in history.


From May 17 to 28, Professor Jang Jae-seong from the Police Human Resources Development Institute gave a special lecture to the KEPCO E&C employees on the Anti-corruption Act and Employee Code of Ethics, and all employees pledged for integrity and eradication of heavy-handed practices and human rights abuse to practice integrity and ethics.

On June 4, more than 30 members of KEPCO E&C Ethical Management Keepers and Innovation Leading Group attended “Learning from officials of integrity in history” held in the Korean Studies Institute in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do to learn from the spirit of the integrity of ancient sages and establish the attributes of ideal public officials.

The program included a special lecture titled “Learning of Integrity Leadership from Ancient Sages,” production of integrity journal, and touring of Confucian Culture Museum. The attendees had the valuable opportunity to pledge the inheritance of the virtue of integrity of public office from the ancestors through the special lecture and experience.

“What the people want from public officials is the proactive mindset based on the kindness, fairness, and consideration,” Lee Bae-soo, CEO of KEPCO E&C said. He emphasized the commitment to make KEPCO E&C become the company trusted by the people through strict ethical standards.

KEPCO E&C was selected as the Excellent Institution in the evaluation of the integrity of public institutions and the Best Institution in the evaluation of anti-corruption policy conducted by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission in 2018.

KEPCO E&C plans to continue to carry out integrity and ethics programs to lead an organizational culture that is clean and transparent
