KEPCO E&C held a special lecture on integrity and theatrical performance on the eradication of heavy-handed practices at the International Seminar Room in its headquarters building in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do on April 23, with the management and employees in attendance.

The event was held as part of the integrity planning program that reflects the “Five-Year Comprehensive Plan for Anti-Corruption” by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC).

The special lecture on integrity invited Lee Jeong-hee, Executive Auditor of KEPCO, to encourage integrity leadership among employees and promote an integrity culture.

“We must bear in mind the ethics of public service as public servants through the patriotism and anecdotes of integrity of Admiral Yi Sun-shin,” Lee Jeong-hee emphasized during his special lecture titled “Integrity Leadership of Yi Sun-shin.”

The play titled “Gabijaeul,” which followed the special lecture, featured performances by professional actors showing how the relative position of contractor and subcontractor can change in some situations based on a real case. Reminding the audience that the eradication of heavy-handed practices to subcontractors starts from recognizing the importance of horizontal win-win relationship, the play received favorable response from the sympathizing employees.

KEPCO was named “Outstanding Company in the Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions” and “Most Outstanding Company in the Anti-corruption Policy Assessment of Public Institutions” in 2018.

KEPCO E&C plans to continue to lead the fostering of integrity culture and eradication of heavy-handed practices by carrying out various integrity programs.
