KEPCO E&C held the 153rd Nuclear Safety Inspection Day event for the first quarter of 2019 on March 21 and 26, with the employees of the Nuclear Division and NSSS Division in attendance.

Participated in by more than 90 employees, the event shared measures to enhance quality and safety as well as the current issues for a better nuclear safety culture.

The event included presentations on subjects such as △ enhancement of safety of nuclear power plants in operation by applying the latest technology standards (PSA & PSR Business Group), △ enhancement of safety and operability of nuclear power plants through the improvement of RCA TBA design for standard nuclear power plant (Fluid System Design Group), and △ plan to enhance the safety culture for 2019 (QA & HSE Dept.). A question and answer session then followed.

Jin Tae-eun, head of the Nuclear Division, highlighted the company programs such as “Manufacturing safety code in domestic and overseas sites” and “Safety Moment Scheme” to improve safety awareness. “Safety cannot be overemphasized. All employees must actively participate in safety culture promotion activities and carry out their responsibilities responsibly,” Jin stressed.

KEPCO E&C holds the Nuclear Safety Inspection Day event each quarter and strives to improve the safety of nuclear power plants and spread the safety culture through various programs.
