KEPCO E&C was named “Most Outstanding Company (Grade 1)” in the “2018 anti-corruption policy assessment of public institutions” sponsored by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) on January 31.

ACRC has assessed the anti-corruption activities voluntarily carried out by public institutions and their outcomes each year since 2002 to improve integrity. It evaluated a total of 270 public institutions in 2018.

KEPCO E&C received a rating of Grade 4 in 2016, Grade 2 in 2017, and Grade 1 (most outstanding institution) in 2018. It was the best grade received by the company since ACRC first began assessing it.

KEPCO E&C received high scores across all categories, with the “Operation outcome of the Gyeongbuk Gimcheon Integrity Cluster Cultural Festival (hosted by KEPCO E&C as the chairing company)” and the “Excellence in the comprehensive implementation plan for integrity established in connection with the National Agenda” selected as excellent cases of anti-corruption.

“The integrity and ethics management that we have been implementing over the years have now been recognized. We should regard this achievement as just the beginning and continue our efforts to become the public institution that leads and spreads integrity and ethics,” said KEPCO E&C CEO Lee Bae-soo on the news of being named most outstanding institution.

According to Lee Dong-geun, Executive Auditor of KEPCO E&C, programs such as the Integrity Academy Tour carried out by public and private-public sectors jointly received high scores. This achievement is the result of the commitment of all employees to build the cleanest, most transparent company, he added.

KEPCO E&C was also named “Outstanding Company” in the “2018 integrity assessment of public institutions” by ACRC.
