ENR, the US-based magazine dedicated to construction and engineering, announced the top international design firms for 2018 on December 17, 2018.

According to ENR’s announcement, KEPCO E&C ranked no. 2 in the world in overseas sales of nuclear power design with USD 148 million; no. 15, up 7 levels from no. 22 in the previous year, in overseas sales of power design; no. 70, up 21 levels from no. 91 in the previous year, in overseas sales of design; and no. 75, up 9 levels from no. 84 in the previous year, in total design sales.

Among the domestic design firms, Hyundai Engineering was ranked the highest at no. 29; followed by KEPCO E&C at no. 70; Samsung Engineering at no. 71; Dohwa Engineering at no. 85; and SK E&C at no. 104 in the world.

Despite the challenging internal and external business environment, KEPCO E&C remained no. 2 in overseas sales of nuclear power design for three years in a row since 2016 and was the only Asian design firm in nuclear design, which the European, Canadian, Australian, and U.S. firms dominated this year.

ENR annually announces the performance and ranking of 225 design firms worldwide based on sales in the previous year.
