KEPCO E&C received the Bronze Medal (Commendation by the Ministry of Personnel Management) in Recruitment and Human Talent Development at the “2018 Personnel Management Innovation Competition” held in Government Sejong Convention Center on December 12.

The competition sponsored by the Ministry of Personnel Management screened the personnel management innovation cases submitted by the central government agencies, local offices of education, constitutional institutions, and public institutions and selected excellent cases (top 9 cases) for case presentation and site inspection.

KEPCO E&C presented “Equality of opportunity? Granting of opportunity! The site pre-registration system” as its personnel management innovation case in recruitment and human talent development. The case is a new recruitment scheme that grants the application opportunity to pre-registrants on-site if there are no-shows of applicants on the day of screening.

KEPCO E&C introduced the “site pre-registration system” to expand the opportunity for applicants in consideration of the fact that there are often no-shows of applicants during the screening stage due to joint recruitment by public institutions or personal circumstances.

It is expected to be a good case for securing excellent talents and solving the youth unemployment problem as it reduces the social cost of companies caused by no-shows in the job market and increasing the opportunity for job seekers.

As the results of the “site pre-registration system” program for the recruitment in the second half of 2018, KEPCO E&C was able to grant the additional opportunities for written exam to all of 91 pre-registrants on-site, and 15 applicants received the opportunity for the first interview and 4 applicants for the second interview.

KEPCO E&C has adopted various improvements in its recruitment process including “Disclosure of written exam scope in advance” introduced in 2017 to ensure the fairness of recruitment and help the applicants to prepare for the test better and “Post-interview self-introduction” introduced in the first half of 2018 to allow the applicants to submit the self-introduction document after passing the written exam.

“This award is the results of our steady efforts to improve the recruitment process by ensuring the fairness of the process, expanding the opportunities for applicants, and securing the excellent human talents. KEPCO E&C is committed to creating quality jobs that match its requirements,” Lee Bae-su, CEO of KEPCO E&C said.
