“Quality Day” Event

 KEPCO E&C held an event dubbed “Quality Day to Achieve Shared Growth and Social Values” with invited vendors at the International Seminar Room on October 17.

The event was intended to raise awareness of design quality and safety as well as strengthen partnership with vendors in conjunction with the Safety Inspection Day event.

A total of 120 attendees took part in the event, including Executive Vice President Byeon Hwa-un of KEPCO E&C and executives, chief quality officers, and managers of 41 vendors.

The event program consisted of the following: △ special guest lecture; △ status of registration, evaluation, and maintenance of vendors; △ assessment criteria for the quality management capability of vendors; △ reporting system for nonconformities; △ and activities to promote safety and trend presentations.

Professor Kim Youn-Sung of Inha University, President of the Korean Society for Quality Management, was invited to give a lecture on the “Requirements for Success in the Quality 4.0 Era.” According to him, “it is important that Quality 4.0 achieves the human-centered digitization of quality management, active quality, data utilization, and customer-oriented optimization.”

“Let’s capitalize on climate change and other crises to leap forward and achieve steady growth by reinforcing the quality and safety culture as well as cooperation with partner companies. Global competitiveness requires assured quality of vendors, and we will spare no effort and support in improving the quality and safety culture,” KEPCO E&C Executive Vice President Byeon Hwa-un vowed.

KEPCO E&C will continue to operate various programs aimed at mutual growth and cooperation with vendors, such as “Quality Day” dedicated to design quality improvement, engineering training of partner companies, and education on technology security and ethics.
