KEPCO E&C conducted the training of KHNP employees on NSSS instrument and control system from August 27th to September 4th.

Twelve KHNP employees working at OPR1000 (Hanbit Units 3, 4, 5, and 6; Hanul Units 3, 4, 5, and 6; Shingori Units 1 and 2; and Shinweolseong Units 1 and 2) and APR1400 (Shingori Unit 3) nuclear power plants participated in the training.

The training covered the design of instrument and control for the nuclear steam supply system, understanding of the control system configuration, review of system design document, and methodology for control system performance analysis and verification through the lecture by KEPCO E&C’s experts in instrument and control system and performance analysis.

KEPCO E&C expects the training to help operate nuclear power plants efficiently, support the development of KHNP staff, and strengthen the cooperative relationship between KEPCO E&C and the KHNP.
