The representative of the International Trade and Investment Office of Ontario, Canada in Korea visited KEPCO E&C on August 14 to exchange opinions on mutual interests with the director of the NSSS Division.

Representative Sonja Panday and commercial attache Jeon Eun-seok explained the goal and function of the Office of Trade and Investment of Ontario and discussed the support and cooperation measures on common interests such as new nuclear power plants, operation of nuclear power plants, SMR development, and current closing technology.

KEPCO E&C introduced its technology during the working-level discussion that followed, and both parties exchanged opinions on potential areas of mutual support and cooperation. The representatives from the Office of Trade and Investment of Ontario agreed to introduce a Canadian agency that can cooperate with KEPCO E&C on the closing of the light water reactor.

KEPCO E&C plans to expand its cooperation with the Office of Trade and Investment of Ontario to find opportunities in the nuclear power market in Canada.
