KEPCO E&C signed the MOU for Technical Cooperation in Emergency Operation Field with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) on May 24.

The representatives from both companies including Shin-Whan Kim, Senior Vice President of NSSS Division at KEPCO E&C, and Hwee-Soo Jun, CNO & Executive Vice President at KHNP attended the signing ceremony.
 
The purpose of the MOU is to seek mutual development and common interest of both companies through technical cooperation and interchange related to the emergency operation and to strengthen competitiveness in nuclear technology by advancing the technology in emergency operation field.
 
Shin-Whan Kim hoped that the signing of the MOU would move forward in nuclear safety field beyond the emergency operation field based on the cooperation and collaboration of both companies.
 
“Let us work harder to reach out to the people by improving safety through the integration of design and operation beyond economic and operating efficiency,” said Hwee-Soo Jun.
 
The signing of the MOU will provide the framework for KEPCO E&C to develop the maintenance and management system of the Emergency Operating Guidelines(EOG) and Emergency Operating Procedures(EOP) and to lead the continuous technical support.
 
KEPCO E&C expects the continued booking and revenue increase through regular technical support related to the maintenance and management of the EOG/EOP and the technical support for the emergency operation of nuclear power plants.
