KEPCO E&C received the “Good” rating in the 2017 Assessment of Public Institutions’ Cooperation Performance with Small-Medium Enterprises sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and conducted by the Large and Small Business, Agriculture, and Fisheries Cooperation Foundation.

The Assessment of Public Institutions’ Cooperation Performance with Small-Medium Enterprises is announced annually by the Minister of SMEs and Startups in accordance with Article 19 of the Act on the Promotion of Collaboration between Large Enterprises and Small-medium Enterprises. Its results are used as the reference data for a management assessment of public institutions, which are rated according to the four levels of Excellent, Good, Neutral, and Weak.

KEPCO E&C received a relative assessment along with twenty-nine other public institutions including KEPCO, six power plant operating companies, KOGAS, and the Korea Expressway Corporation, having been moved to another assessment group (Other Public Institutions → Public Enterprises) in 2017.

KEPCO E&C was awarded the relatively “good” rating despite the change of assessment group because it received high scores for its operation of the Commissioned Enterprise Committee, which is specifically suitable to KEPCO E&C’s business, its strong, enterprise-wide commitment to shared growth, and its development of a communication index of vendors.

“We will overcome the difficult internal and external environment through collaborative cooperation and do our utmost to fulfill our social responsibilities as a public institution,” Lee Bae-soo, the CEO of KEPCO E&C, said.

KEPCO E&C intends to make every effort to be a public institution that leads shared growth and collaborative cooperation in the future.
