KEPCO E&C received the Minister’s Award for Outstanding Company as a Public Institution in the Shared Growth category from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups at the “2017 Shared Growth Week Commemoration” held at the Grand Hall of the HQ Building of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeoido on November 1.

More than 400 people participated in the event including Vice Minister Choi Su-gyu of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Chairman An Chung-yeong of the Korea Commision for Corporate Partnerships.

The annual Shared Growth Week is designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups under the Act on the Promotion of Collaborative Cooperation between Large Enterprises and Small-Medium Enterprise. The Ministry presents awards to exemplary enterprises and persons in recognition of their contribution to shared growth.

KEPCO E&C has engaged in many cooperative partnerships over the years, and received the Highest ratings (Outstanding) as a Public Institution in the Shared Growth category in 2016.

KEPCO E&C’s Task Force Team for Shared Growth and Collaboration is carrying out many specialized activities for the company, inluding the implementation of programs for systematic and strategic shared growth and the execution of a shared growth roadmap that reflects KEPCO E&C’s characteristics.

It is also creating various benchmark cases for shared growth with small-medium enterprises. These include forming the Council of Subcontractors and signing the Agreement for Cooperate Partnership, introducing the first Cooperate Partnership Approval System in the public sector, jointly developing technologies, and supporting education and training.

“As a public institution in energy technology engineering, KEPCO E&C intends to continue its leadership in collaborative cooperation with small- and medium-sized vendors,” said Ryu Hong-jae, acting Executive Senior Vice President  upon  receiving the award on behalf of KEPCO E&C.

In its capacity as a public institution, KEPCO E&C plans to continue fulfilling its social responsibility and leading shared growth.
