KEPCO E&C signed an agreement with the KEPCO E&C Association of Partner Companies (Association Chairman Byeon Hi-seon) and the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership (Commission Chairman An Chung-yeong) on April 25 to form a council of subcontractors for the promotion of shared growth with small and medium partner companies.

The council of subcontractors is an organization of partner companies tasked with the goal of fostering exchanges of technical information and joint technology development between the subcontracting company and subcontractor companies. The council of subcontractors is mandated by the law on promoting partnership between conglomerates and small to medium enterprises (Act on the Promotion of Collaborative Cooperation Between Large Enterprises and Small-Medium Enterprises).

According to the agreement, the parties to the agreement must work together to strengthen the competitiveness of small-medium enterprises through 1) shared growth activities with the outputs being shared, 2) shared growth activities centered on technology, and 3) creation of an ecosystem for fair transactions/shared growth.

In addition, the company will expand its support for sustainable shared growth activities through efforts like joint developments of new technologies, joint entry into overseas markets, and enhancements of technical capabilities that take advantage of each party’s characteristics and strengths.
