KEPCO E&C, EWP Agree to Cooperate on Corporate Transparency and Integrity

- Pledges joint cooperation on expanding ethical awareness and improving performance of audits -KEPCO E&C and Korea East-West Power Co. signed a memorandum of understanding on February 16 for the bilateral exchange and support on matters regarding integrity and audit. The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Dong-geun and Kim O-young, the Executive auditors for KEPCO E&C and EWP, respectively, as well as other related officials.
The main purpose of the MOU is to broaden the awareness of ethical conduct and improve the auditing process in order to promote a mutually beneficial state of corporate transparency.
Under the agreement, both firms will share and consult policies, provide joint training and workshops, share success stories, exchange information on fostering competent auditors and lend expert resources during specific auditing processes.
According to auditors Lee and Kim, both companies “hope this agreement will become a turning point for expanding ethical awareness and strengthening the companies’ capacity in internal audits.”
